General Information
1. When will CFP 2026 be launched and what are the key dates?

2. How is CFP 2026 different from the first Call for Proposals in 2024 (CFP 2024)?
CFP 2026 provides access to the baseline data of ~100,000 participants (compared to 50,000 participants in CFP 2024).
3. Do existing Flagship and Driver Projects need to reapply for access to the full dataset?
No additional application is required for the approved research scope of existing Flagship and Driver Projects.
Dataset & Technical Information
1. What are the demographics of the SG100K cohort and what participant data was collected?
The SG100K cohort demographics are:
Age: 21-84 years
Sex: 57% Female, 43% Male
Ancestry: 71% Chinese, 14% Malay, 15% Indian
The cohort is representative of the general Singapore adult population. Research phenotype was collected for the participants. Please refer to the Data Dictionary for all research phenotype data collected.
2. What data will be accessible as part of CFP 2026?
Approved projects will have access to the comprehensive PRECISE-SG100K linked resource, which includes:
Research phenotype data collected as part of the SG100K study
Genomic data from whole genome sequencing
Clinical data from Singapore's public healthcare providers, maintained by the Ministry of Health
Data will be accessible via the TRUST platform following established data governance protocols. The release will comprise curated, analysis-ready datasets that have undergone quality control and standardisation processes. Raw data files and unprocessed source data are not included in this data release.
3. Can I link PRECISE-SG100K Resource to external datasets?
No, external dataset linkages are not currently supported. All approved projects receive access to a standard linked PRECISE-SG100K resource only.
4. On what platform will the data be made available?
Data will be accessible on the TRUST platform; applicants must budget for associated compute costs.
5. Will methylation, metabolomics, telomere length, imaging, and AX3 tracker data be available?
These data are not available in the upcoming data release for CFP 2026 but may be included in future updates or data releases.
6. Will raw FASTQ files be available?
Raw FASTQ files are not included in the standard data release due to significant storage and retrieval costs. However, if your research specifically requires access to the FASTQ files and there is dedicated funding for associated costs, please contact the PRECISE-SG100K Secretariat at research@precise.cris.sg.
Application Process
1. How should proposals to be submitted? Is there a specific format required?
Please use the form available on the PRECISE website from 2 January 2026.
Submissions are to be made via research@precise.cris.sg; the Programme Management Team will confirm receipt of application within 3 working days.
2. What supporting documents are required as part of application?
Submit the completed application template with necessary endorsements and CVs of key team members.
3. Is there an application page limit?
Each section in the application form will indicate a line limit. The aim is for applicants to keep their applications concise and clear.
4. Can I revise my application after submission?
No, proposals cannot be modified once submitted. Please ensure accuracy and completeness before submission.
5. When must I submit my TRUST DAC application if selected?
Submit completed TRUST DAC applications (anticipated May 2026 onwards). Please note that additional documents will be required for this submission:
Completed and endorsed TRUST Data Request (TDR) form
Signed and endorsed Personal Undertaking forms for ALL TRUST user applicants
Latest CV of main applicant as requested in the TDR form

Proposal Scope
1. What kind of proposals are eligible?
We welcome proposals aligned with objectives of the Call. Please refer to the PRECISE website for detailed eligibility criteria.
2. Can I submit bulk analysis proposals like large-scale GWAS?
Proposals seeking bulk analysis without clear scientific focus are unlikely to be supported. Proposals must demonstrate clear scientific focus and rationale.
3. Are preliminary results expected in the proposal?
No, preliminary results are not required. However, you may include them if they strengthen your proposal.
4. How can I avoid overlap with existing projects?
Please review existing Flagship and Driver projects here to ensure your proposal does not overlap. The PRECISE-SG100K Scientific Committee may encourage convergence with overlapping proposals or partnership with existing activities.
5. What if my proposal overlaps with existing work?
The PRECISE-SG100K Scientific Committee may suggest modifications or encourage collaboration with existing project teams.
Eligibility & Team Requirements
1. Can researchers from private institutions apply?
No, Lead-PIs must hold primary appointments in Singapore publicly funded educational or healthcare institutions throughout the project duration. Only TRUST partners can submit or be part of the TDR.
2. Can I be Lead-PI on multiple proposals?
Generally, researchers are limited to being Lead-PI for no more than one proposal.
3. Is cross-institutional collaboration required?
Applicants are strongly encouraged to collaborate and partner across Singapore public institutions, but this is not required.
4. Can industry partners be involved in any capacity?
No, direct or indirect industry partnerships are not permitted.
5. I am not based in Singapore. Can I apply?
Yes, international researchers can be part of proposals led by a Principal Investigator from a Singapore publicly funded educational or healthcare institution.
Review Process
1. Who reviews the proposals?
All proposals are reviewed by the PRECISE-SG100K CFP Review Panel comprising the PRECISE-SG100K Scientific Committee members and the PRECISE-SG100K Management Team.
2. What are the evaluation criteria?
The five evaluation criteria are as follows: Project Team quality, Scientific ambition/hypothesis, Project plan feasibility, Overlap assessment, and Commitments confirmation.

3. Will feedback be provided to applicants?
Brief feedback will be provided where appropriate.
Data Access & Ethics
1. What approvals do I need beyond CFP selection?
All approved projects requiring individual-level data must additionally apply for TRUST DAC approval.
2. Do I need IRB approval?
Yes, each project team must obtain IRB approval, an IRB-approved waiver, or a Review Not Required determination from their respective institutions.
3. Can the data be used for analyses other than what was initially proposed?
No, this is not permitted. Please include all required analyses in the proposal.
4. Are there any restrictions on data download?
Individual-level data analyses must be performed on the TRUST platform and must align with the approved proposal. Any data download or export must follow TRUST guidelines and policies.
5. Will there be an option to request for extension of data access?
Yes, researchers can request extensions if additional time is needed to complete approved research objectives.
Funding
1. Will funding be available for approved projects?
No, CFP 2026 does not provide funding. Applicants must ensure sufficient funding for research activities and compute costs, including TRUST platform analyses.
2. What costs should I budget for?
Budget for research activities and compute-related costs including analyses on the TRUST platform. For TRUST costs, please refer to TRUST website for the Charging Framework (available after registering as a TRUST member).
Publication Requirements
1. What publications require review?
All publications from the approved applications, including Biorxiv type submissions will require PRECISE-SG100K Scientific Committee review and approval. All publications are subjected to pre-publication review by TRUST as well and researchers are encouraged to engage TRUST early.
2. What are the authorship requirements for publications?
Publications must include specific PRECISE team members, use banner authorship, include approved acknowledgement text, and receive PRECISE-SG100K Scientific Committee approval before journal submission. Please refer to the PRECISE websitefor more details.
3. How many publications are expected?
Projects should aim to deliver at least one major scientific publication within 2 years.
4. Must publications be shared before journal submission?
Yes, all manuscripts MUST be shared with and approved by the PRECISE-SG100K Scientific Committee prior to journal submission.
Reporting & Ongoing Requirements
1. What ongoing commitments are required?
Approved projects must provide yearly progress reports to the PRECISE-SG100K Scientific Committee.
