As genomic sequencing becomes more affordable, Asian nations are launching major precision medicine initiatives. These include China's US$9 billion genome project, South Korea's KU-MAGIC, Japan's ToMMo Biobank, Thailand's Genomic Thailand, India's Genome India, Singapore's PRECISE, and the regional PREMIA lung cancer registry. Together, these programmes are building population-specific genoic reference databases to drive more targeted, effective healthcare across Asia.
