GA4GH 14th Plenary will take place in Singapore

The Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH) will hold its 14th Plenary meeting from 28 September to 2 October 2026 in Singapore.
Co-hosted by Precision Health Research, Singapore (PRECISE), the meeting will gather participants from across the health and biomedical ecosystem to advance topics in global genomic and health data sharing.

The Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH) community is invited to gather once again for the organisation’s annual Plenary meeting to be held from 28 September to 2 October 2026 at the One Farrer Hotel in Singapore. The 14th Plenary meeting will be co-hosted by Precision Health Research, Singapore (PRECISE), marking GA4GH’s first plenary held in Asia. Registration for the meeting is now open.

We are privileged to co-organise the GA4GH Plenary in Singapore — and in Asia for the first time — underscoring the importance of global representation and collaboration in shaping a more inclusive, future-ready genomic ecosystem.”
The plenary meeting will convene people from across the health and biomedical ecosystem, including clinicians, researchers, scientists, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and representatives of genomic initiatives, among others.

The 14th Plenary meeting will kick off with a full-day convening of the National Initiatives Forum (NIF). The NIF meeting will bring together representatives of country-wide genomics initiatives to share key insights and developments around implementing genomic medicine in national healthcare systems.
This meeting will be followed by two days of general plenary sessions. The agenda will include keynote talks and expert panels featuring speakers from a wide range of roles within the genomics and healthcare ecosystem. Sessions will focus on genomic and health data sharing topics and initiatives across local, national, and global scales.
An international Plenary Programme Committee will help GA4GH and PRECISE cultivate a diverse and compelling plenary agenda. The Plenary Programme Committee will be co-chaired by Seow Shih Wee and Tan Ee Shien, both from PRECISE, with support from Jakris Eu-ahsunthornwattana (Thai Society of Human Genetics; Thailand), Ada Hamosh (Johns Hopkins Medicine; US), Kahlil Lawless (Illumina; Canada), Tazro Ohta (Chiba University; Japan), and Daniel Puthawala (Nationwide Children’s Hospital; US).

The week-long conference will culminate with the GA4GH Connect meeting, two days of collaborative working sessions during which participants will delve into topics that advance GA4GH product development and implementation. Participants will engage in brainstorming sessions, hands-on workshops and hackathons, identification of shared challenges, and collective problem-solving.
