Adjunct Assoc Prof Raymond Chua
A/Prof (Dr) Raymond Chua graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in National University of Singapore in 1997. He holds a Masters in Public Health (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, 2002) and is a Registered Public Health specialist and Fellow with the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
His career spans both public service and private sector industry (as Managing Director of Eisai Clinical Research Singapore, and International Medical Director with Shire Pharmaceuticals). In 2012, A/Prof Chua was designated as Group Director of the Health Products Regulation Group in the Health Sciences Authority. Since 2017, he has joined the Ministry of Health as Deputy Director-General of Health, Health Regulation Group to oversee and reform the regulations of healthcare services and premises in Singapore, so as to safeguard public health. He also holds other adjunct academic appointments, including an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health in National University of Singapore and Centre of Regulatory Excellence in Duke-NUS.
